Dear Student Veterans,

I want to welcome all veterans to Kennesaw State University. My name is Derek Ridings and I am the Senator for Student Veterans through the Student Government Association. I served 5 years on active duty in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. As a Veteran myself it is my job to be the voice of the Student Veteran population and to make Kennesaw State University a more Veteran friendly
environment. I would like to take this time to thank you for your service and sacrifice. Support and advocacy is available through the Student Government Association and through the office of Senator for Student Veterans. I am available to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have regarding classes, fees, benefits, and employment. Please feel free to visit me in the SGA Senators office located on the third floor of the Student Center, room 376, between the hours of 10am to 11am on Mondays and 11am-12pm on Thursdays. If these office hours conflict with your work or school schedule please come by the Veterans Resource Office Center located in Willingham Hall, 2nd floor, room 227.
